This was commissioned from me in 2005 by Swansea Camera Club and arose as one of their long-standing members, Professor Beynon, decided to sponsor a new competition and consequently a new award.

The trophy was therefore based upon Professor Beynon's digital photographic works, where he extracts details, often organic elements, and rotates them to create circular abstract images. I therefore decided to use feathers to create a circular design reminiscent of his work.
